Six archetypal figures of urban solitude share an aging central Barcelona flat: an elderly married couple, the woman’s brother, a blonde French‑teacher, a young security guard, an ex‑footballer and a pregnant South‑American girl. Their former opera doorman, who cross‑dresses, summons them to leave as he senses his imminent death and seeks solitude. Their intertwined lives reveal incest, homosexuality and adultery against the backdrop of a slowly passing Mediterranean city.
