Babakiueria humorously flips Australian history, portraying a fictional land where white people are the minority and must obey black law. Through satire, the 1986 ABC TV film examines colonisation and black‑white relations, starring Aboriginal actors Michelle Torres and Bob Maza alongside familiar Australian talent. It earned critical acclaim and the 1987 UN Media Peace Prize.
