The story unfolds in 50 BC in a tiny, heavily fortified Gaulish village where a druid’s magic potion turns the residents into super‑strong warriors. When Roman legions carve a route toward the English Channel, Caesar and his aide Detritus learn of the elixir, capture the druid who knows its recipe, and dispatch Asterix and Obelix on a daring rescue mission to free him and protect the secret.
