On an ocean liner, a determined nightclub singer aids a fellow American in courting an English heiress who is being forced to return home and marry a man she does not love. Meanwhile, the resourceful American must evade his boss, who is also aboard, by posing as a gangster and traveling with a secretive minister who is, in fact, a gangster on the run.
