Anita follows a young woman with Down syndrome who enjoys a stable, routine life in Buenos Aires under her mother Dora’s careful care. On a morning in 1994, a bomb at the nearby Argentine Israelite Mutual Association leaves her alone, confused and vulnerable. As she wanders the city, she learns to fend for herself and gently touches the lives of a struggling alcoholic and an immigrant Asian family, revealing quiet resilience.
