Angel Dog

Jake remains in Texas as his wife Elizabeth and children leave for a trip, leaving him behind. He decides to keep himself busy by working, while dealing with his grief after losing his family in a tragic car accident. The accident results in only Cooper, the dog, surviving the crash.

Following the accident, Cooper, a black and white collie, is the only survivor and is discovered near the crash site. The veterinary hospital nearby is contacted, but there's a lack of clear information about the dog's ownership. When no one claims him, the shelter considers putting him down if space is limited.

Jake becomes overwhelmed with grief and remains in a state of mourning for days. His emotional turmoil prevents him from doing much, showing just how deeply he is affected by the loss of his family. His interactions with Cooper are limited but significant.
