At a high‑altitude observatory, astronomers detect a signal from a traveling object that appears to be alive. The craft lands in a remote rainforest, prompting Margot, the eager leader of the research team, to investigate. Meanwhile, Edouard studies the canopy from a massive suspended net, where he encounters a twelve‑year‑old girl who claims, in flawless French, to be from another world.
