The Glegoliths, an extraterrestrial humanoid race, drift through space seeking a new world. Their leader, Cyrillus, discovers an uncharted planet—Earth—and sends two manned probes to evaluate its suitability for colonisation. The probes’ scouts mistake a closed, pre‑opening amusement park for a bustling metropolis, wander inside, and explore four rides, misreading the attractions as evidence of a thriving civilization.
