Kedari Krishnamachari, Vishnu Manchu, is a young pundit working under Applacharya, Brahmanandam, along with two other pundits. In the opening scene, they conduct a hawan at a rich household, where smoke leads to the death of an elderly man, apparently from an asthma attack. The relatives blame the four pundits and flee for their lives. They seek refuge in a mosque and then a church. With no other option, Krishna insists on fleeing to America, a move that Acharya reluctantly accepts after reading Bhavishya vani that Krishna tampered.
In America, they confront harsh realities, taking on odd jobs and sharing a rented apartment. Krishna keeps scanning for someone, while Acharya manages to find a temple in Las Vegas where he works as a cleaner. There, Krishna hears a female voice singing Krishna Bhajan and chases the singer. He spots Renuka, Pragya Jaiswal, leaving in a car and cheers, convinced this is the girl he has been seeking. At the temple, Acharya meets a woman, Surekha Vani, who says her boss needs a pundit for his wedding, and Acharya agrees.
They travel to the home of the boss, Vikram alias Vicky, Thakur Anoop Singh, for the engagement ceremony. There they see Renuka and are shocked. Renuka recognizes Krishna and faints. A flashback unfolds.
Renuka arrives from America. Chakrapani, Kota Srinivasa Rao, a wheelchair user, is thrilled because she is the heiress to all his properties. Her uncles object, angry that she refused to marry his son Vicky. A four-day pooja is held at the house, and Acharya is called to perform it. During that time, Krishna accidentally sees Renuka nude, later apologizes, and she grows angry. She and her friend Vidya, Vidyullekha Raman, plot revenge schemes that repeatedly fail. Yet she is moved when Krishna blesses a maid’s daughter on her birthday. Renuka and Chakrapani are attacked while walking through the fields; Krishna saves them and suspects the uncles behind the assault. The bond between Renuka and Krishna deepens, and she hints that she has something to say on the final day of the pooja. The flashback ends.
Krishna reveals to Acharya and the pundits that Renuka left for America before the last day and he followed to find her. Vidya reveals that Renuka had confessed her feelings for Krishna to Chakrapani, which angered her uncles and led to abuse of Chakrapani and Renuka. Chakrapani’s death is explained not as a result of havan smoke, but as connected to Subbaraju’s conspiracy and the hidden truths surrounding Renuka. After Chakrapani’s death, the uncles refused to give Renuka the ashes unless she married Vicky.
Krishna and the pundits devise a plan to steal the ashes from Vicky and escape with Renuka. They succeed after two attempts, but are pursued by Vicky’s men and cornered at an abandoned factory. The family lawyer, Posani Krishna Murali, asks Krishna to sign papers, creating confusion. A video reveals that Chakrapani had named Krishna his heir before he died. Refusing to sign, Krishna engages in a decisive confrontation and subdues his foes.
In the end, Krishna and Renuka go to Kasi to fulfill Chakrapani’s last wishes, choosing to honor the family’s legacy and their own bond.
