Dr. Chaudhary must operate on Major Ranjeet Khanna, shot while fleeing police after killing his wife Pushpa and her lover Prakash. Ranjeet’s prospects of recovery are slim; if he lives, he risks mental instability or paralysis. Any medical triumph would be moot, since he has already been convicted and sentenced to hang.
