A century later, an ancient obsidian mirror stolen from a Mesopotamian dig is smuggled to Europe and ends up in the hands of Jacob, a ruthless antiques dealer who moves to a remote farmhouse with his pregnant wife Lauren and his troubled ward Rachel. When a nocturnal ornithologist and two hikers seek refuge after one is gruesomely mutilated in the woods, they take shelter at Jacob’s farm, unleashing a nightmarish force that haunts the darkness.
