In the 1980s, three sisters—Reyhan, Nurhan, and Havva—are sent away from their impoverished village to live with foster parents in a town. Designated as 'besleme', they are expected to help with household chores while also attending school. However, each sister proves unsuitable for the foster family, and they are sent back home to their father's village. Facing disappointment and the loss of their aspirations for a better future, the sisters must find solace and strength in their bond with one another.
