At the end of the Civil War, Confederate soldier Jim Slade returns to his ranch to find his parents murdered and the property ruined. He kills three of the murderers, learns the fourth is Corbett, and discovers Corbett leads a gang planning a bank robbery. Teaming with a preacher who has his own agenda, Slade defends the town and confronts Corbett.
