The documentary follows Captain Robert F. Scott’s second British Antarctic expedition of 1910, which aimed to beat Roald Amundsen to the South Pole. Scott’s journals reveal that his team reached the Pole only to discover the Norwegians had arrived first, and that all five men, including Scott, perished on the return journey.
