Sameh's son Omar lives in poverty during his youth. He leaves the country to seek a livelihood abroad. Years later, he returns as a billionaire with new opportunities and tensions behind him.

Hoda's son Emad grows up under hard circumstances and works as a literary critic to make ends meet. His intellect contrasts with the rough world of his relatives. He remains entangled in the family drama despite his position.
