24 Hour Psycho is a 1993 art installation by Douglas Gordon that re‑presents Alfred Hitchcock’s 1960 film Psycho slowed to roughly two frames per second, extending its 109‑minute runtime to a full 24 hours. The work foregrounds themes Gordon returns to—recognition, repetition, time, memory, authorship, authenticity and the interplay of darkness and light—marking a pivotal moment in his early career.
