Based on a notorious German bank‑robbery spree, Zwölf Winter follows Klaus and Mike, two inmates who forge a friendship behind bars. After their release they reunite and devise what appears to be the perfect heist. For twelve years they continuously rob banks, always in winter, eluding the police for years until the police finally close in.
