Gaston has spent his life on society’s margins, avoiding contact with others as much as possible. Leo, in stark contrast, is a pretentious, bourgeois figure who lives far beyond his means yet possesses a good heart. He sustains his façade with forged checks and unsecured credit cards. By chance, their destinies become intertwined as the story unfolds.
