In 1940, the sleepy town of Friar is suddenly stirred from its slumber after the release of *The Wizard of Oz*. The entire population of 572 mysteriously disappears, leaving only their abandoned clothing strewn about.

After the mass disappearance, a chilling discovery is made when 300 bodies are recovered. The remains vary between those preserved in time and others that are shockingly slain, hinting at the town's mysterious and violent downfall.

Years later, a film crew led by Teddy arrives at the abandoned movie theatre in Friar. Their mission is to unravel the enigma surrounding the missing townspeople as they explore the eerie remnants of the haunted town.

As the crew begins their exploration, a string of unsettling music interrupts their tranquility. This leads to rising tensions among them, culminating in Daryl's violent outburst towards his sister Erin, resulting in her tragic demise.
