The story marks the start of a sexual revolution as three very different women seek freedom. Candy, a detached heiress, is trapped in a strained bond with her brother. Jackie, an idealistic intellectual, argues that women remain oppressed in modern America. Holly, a self‑described nymphomaniac, despises men even while being drawn to them. The trio joins the radical feminist collective P.I.G. (Politically Involved Girls), only to discover that their newfound liberation brings its own discontent.
