Kanno, a yakuza, is compelled to kill Matsuoka after the man betrays their boss. Knowing Matsuoka’s three‑year‑old daughter Yōko, he entrusts a loyal associate with her care before surrendering. In prison he sends her letters, pretending to be a Brazilian uncle. Fifteen years later, Kanno is released, determined to live honestly, yet the yakuza have not forgotten his deadly deed.
