Set against a wartime backdrop, this 1988 Czech adventure comedy follows Sergeant Kouba, a paratrooper whose fondness for women displeases his superior. During a military exercise on the way to the barracks, Kouba demonstrates true bravery by rescuing a child, apprehending a thief and ultimately winning the heart of the commander’s sister, forging a lasting partnership.
