Exiled angel Max roams the U.S., looking to help humans. In a Maine town he meets Sally, a young woman fighting for custody of her brother, and assumes she’s his mission. Angelic supervisor Jo corrects him—Max’s real task is to aid Karl, the struggling manager of a Christmas‑decorations factory whose business is failing. Max discovers Karl knows Sally and must balance both duties.
