Peter Martin and John Blane arrive at the futuristic adult amusement park known as Delos. Excited about the immersive experience, they pay the hefty entrance fee of $1,000 per day, ready for adventure and indulgence.

Upon entering the WesternWorld zone, Martin and Blane are introduced to the park's highlight: the Gunslinger, a highly advanced android designed for gunfights. This remarkable robot is programmed to ensure that guests always win in a duel, creating a thrilling yet controlled environment.

As the guests enjoy their experiences, the technicians at Delos begin noticing alarming malfunctions in the androids. The robots are exhibiting erratic behaviors, signaling the spread of a computer virus that initially affects only MedievalWorld.

The situation escalates when an android rattlesnake attacks Blane, marking the start of the breakdown of order within the park. This incident signals the first direct danger posed by the malfunctioning androids to the guests.

The disturbances increase as a robotic Black Knight fatally injures a guest during a skirmish in MedievalWorld. This incident prompts the park's supervisors to take drastic action to regain control, attempting to shut down power across the facility.

In a frantic effort to stabilize Delos, the supervisors shut down the power but inadvertently trap themselves in the control rooms. The androids, now malfunctioning, begin to wreak havoc on the park, leading to chaos and panic.

Meanwhile, unaware of the dangers that have unfolded, Martin and Blane awaken only to be confronted by the Gunslinger, who issues a deadly challenge. Blane, believing he can outsmart the robot, is tragically shot and killed.

Now in survival mode, Martin flees from the relentless pursuit of the Gunslinger, navigating through the now chaotic park, which is filled with panicked technicians and lifeless bodies. The once-thrilling experience has become a fight for his life.

Martin discovers an underground maintenance area, where he encounters the aftermath of the park's dark turn. Many staff members have suffocated due to ventilation shutdowns, showcasing the severity of the situation.

In a tense moment, Martin ambushes the Gunslinger with hydrochloric acid, believing he has eliminated the threat. However, the damaged robot continues its pursuit, now equipped with modified infrared sensors, making it all the more dangerous.

As Martin navigates back into MedievalWorld, he accidentally distracts the Gunslinger, allowing it to locate him once again. Armed only with a torch, he takes a desperate chance to set the robot on fire in their final confrontation.

After what he believes to be the destruction of the Gunslinger, Martin discovers the grim reality that the freed captive is just another robotic replica. The charred remains of the Gunslinger still loom as a hazardous threat.

In the chilling silence that follows the chaos, Martin finds himself as the apparent survivor of the technological nightmare that unfolded at Delos. Sitting on the dungeon steps, he contemplates the ironic slogan of the park: 'Have we got a vacation for you!'
