After discovering that a trusted neighbor had secretly installed video surveillance in her Louisiana home to watch her family’s most private moments, Susan Wilson found the intrusion was technically legal at the time. Determined to stop it, she campaigned for a 1999 state law that criminalized video voyeurism, a measure later adopted by nine additional states, elevating the offense to a felony.
