Set in 1944 occupied France, Juliette, mistress of Wehrmacht General Bamberg, lives a privileged life. Her sister Justine, about to marry Resistance member Jean, asks Juliette for help. Both are taken to the Commanderie, where Juliette becomes SS Colonel Schonberg’s lover and Justine is confined, forced to satisfy Nazis, echoing de Sade’s Justine.
