Marc, a young herpetologist employed at a Geneva museum, is obsessive about snakes, keeping a collection that includes a massive python he even bathes in. He falls for Malenka, a striking assistant—and secret lover—of an older herpetology professor. Marc soon uncovers that the professor is a fraud and a violent psychopath who once manipulated Marc’s mother, and he fears that the longer Malenka remains involved, the more perilous her situation becomes.
