The film opens with a flashback where Jayan roughs up a government official at his workplace. The act reveals his past as a ruthless enforcer. This memory foreshadows the tension he carries into his present life.

In the present day, Jayan has given up his old ways and lives decently with his family. He runs a grocery store and tries to maintain harmony at home. The contrast with his past sets up the coming upheavals.

The family arranges a marriage for Jayan's sister with an NRI ally. Anjana disagrees because she loves someone else. The looming alliance becomes a source of family pressure and potential honor concerns.

Jayan shuts down Anjana's attempts to spoil the arrangement, threatening to damage the family’s honor if she interferes. He insists the marriage should go ahead as planned. The domestic pressure builds as everyone prepares for the ceremony.

The day before the wedding, guests and relatives start arriving. Anjana's best friend and her fiancé also join, adding to the bustling preparations. The house hums with activity and expectations for the upcoming ceremony.

Jayan and Reji grow suspicious of Kiran, thinking he might be Anjana's secret lover. Their doubt is cleared when they learn Kiran is engaged to Anjana's friend. The truth complicates the dynamics at the house.

Sahadevan, Sugathan, and Shylappan stir up trouble on the previous night. Kiran manages the situation with liquor and food and calms Pachadi Sura the cook. His actions prevent a bigger clash and keep preparations on track.

Jayan locks the outside bathroom to keep drunk relatives from spoiling it. In the morning he discovers the key is missing and a long queue forms. The tension foreshadows a chaotic day.

Kiran is revealed to be part of the plan to derail the marriage and he had mixed laxatives into drinks and snacks. He also uses a common friend to sabotage the main bedroom bathroom. Jayan unwittingly consumes some of the laxatives, compounding the chaos.

Kiran cuts off the water to the wedding’s private bathroom, blocking Jayan’s path to relief. Jayan tries the neighbor’s bathroom but water disruption spreads. The ceremony is already under strain from earlier mischief.

As the groom and party arrive, Kiran arranges a passerby to spread tales about the couple’s past. The official photographer’s presence irritates Majeed, who feels belittled by the situation. Gossip and tension flavor the wedding atmosphere.

Kiran influences a plan to shoot a dance video during the mandap, while Sahadevan volunteers to carry the groom on his shoulders. The staged moment becomes a flashpoint for escalating chaos rather than a centerpiece of joy.

A loud fart erupts and is instantly blamed on the groom, sparking a heated argument. What started as a ritual mishap devolves into a full-blown clash, and the wedding is called off. The crowd erupts into competing sides.

With the wedding called off, the family considers alternative matches, including Purushan’s son, but the idea is dropped. Anjana’s mother suggests Reji as the eventual groom, aiming for a stable resolution after the upheaval.

In the climax, it’s revealed that Reji was Anjana’s lover all along and Kiran is Reji’s friend who came with his fiancée Tina to help. He uses deception to create confusion as part of their plan. The tale ends with the revelation that the kid who watched his father beat Jayan is actually Reji, giving a bittersweet revenge.
