After childhood abuse by her step‑father and eight years in a lockup, Amanda Lear is released. Her therapist, also her lover, pays rent. She moves in, fixates on neighbor Richard, kills her doctor, and with him installs a system, bugs his calls and watches him, using his wife's Nashville recording. Her plot to claim his attention fuels a hot‑tub that overheats.
