Set as Poland’s first post‑war comedy, the film follows newlyweds Witek and Krysia, who arrive in Warsaw with no place of their own. They take a room in a crowded house of lodgers. Witek sketches a dream home, labeling his wife’s future bedroom as “treasure.” When the other tenants discover the drawing, a wild hunt for the treasure erupts.
