Samuel Hill, a desert miner, and Benjamin Jabowski, a city dandy and John Birch Society member, meet on the Las Vegas strip. They enter the Herald Club before a burlesque show, wire an electrical box to blow at midnight, and exchange odd stories while drinking. The film stitches Jerry Schafer’s unreleased Western‑themed nudie “The Wide Open Spaces” with Francis Ford Coppola’s short “The Peeper,” his feature‑directorial debut.
