In 1996, aboard a transatlantic ship, religious Filipino sailor Joel discovers Romanian stowaway Dumitru concealed amongst the containers. Facing potential danger if discovered by the Taiwanese officers in charge of the vessel, Joel chooses to hide Dumitru, believing it's an act of gratitude to God. This decision initiates a tense game of deception as Joel struggles to protect Dumitru, confronting challenges from his crew, his friends, and even questioning his faith as he faces a difficult destiny.
