Over four decades Tim Westwood was a leading force in the UK black‑music scene, championing hip‑hop from the 1980s, hosting BBC Radio 1’s Rap Show for nearly 20 years before moving to Capital Xtra in 2013, and even fronting MTV’s Pimp My Ride. A joint BBC‑Guardian investigation reveals allegations of sexual misconduct; six women speak for the first time, accusing the self‑styled ‘Big Dawg’ of exploiting his industry power.
