Born in 1935 in Tupelo, Mississippi, Elvis Presley was the son of Vernon and Gladys Presley. His twin brother died at birth. Raised by devout churchgoers, the young Elvis absorbed a variety of musical influences that he would later synthesize into his unique style. These early experiences shaped his distinctive sound and ultimately contributed to his rise to stardom.
