Things Will Be Different

A brother and sister sit in a diner, both armed and anxious, preparing for an uncertain future. The brother insists on ordering the special, knowing this could very well be their last meal together for quite some time.

As they dine, their troubled past unfolds. They hastily robbed several banks to settle her pressing debts, putting them on the run from the law.

The atmosphere quickly shifts as police sirens blare nearby, instilling a sense of urgency. In a panic, they abandon their sandwiches and flee the diner.

The siblings escape into the woods, feeling the weight of their predicament. A campsite catches her off guard, yet they press onward through the dense cornfield.

Reaching a seemingly abandoned homestead, they seek temporary refuge, hoping to evade capture. However, their safe space quickly becomes precarious as local thugs gather outside.

In a desperate bid to scare off the intruders, they fire warning shots from inside the house. The local hoodlums retreat momentarily, but the threat remains lurking outside.
