Oliver misses a furniture payment after giving the money to Stanley, who spent it on Mrs. Hardy for room. On Stanley’s suggestion, Oliver withdraws their savings and bids it all at an auction for a clock that is later destroyed. Mrs. Hardy injures Oliver, who is rushed for a blood transfusion; Stanley must donate. Transfusion fails; leave swapped.
