Sami, a countryside newcomer, takes a position at a girls’ school in Cairo and falls for his student Nawal, though he cannot muster the courage to confess his love. At the same time, his friend Mamdouh, who meets Nawal by chance, tries to win her over and asks Sami to help craft love letters, entangling the three in a fraught love triangle.
