Set against Greece’s military dictatorship, the film follows a young Greek man who goes to Paris to ask a solitary, almost misanthropic distant relative, a furrier, for help. He carries only a photograph of a woman found on a pavement. A misinterpretation of the picture triggers a chain of misunderstandings, trapping him in a cycle of lies and fantasies.
