Kannan and Dassan own the village market in Thenkasi Pattinam, and under the guidance of their godfather they become notorious rowdies. Their ruthless behavior earns them fear and respect in the town.

Devootty, their educated sister, longs to reform the brothers and rid their rude ways. She believes education and restraint can change them.

Shathru joins KD & Co. as manager and is routinely beaten by Kannan and Dassan for his perceived stupidity. Despite the rough treatment, he harbors love for Devootty.

Shathru decides to find brides for Dasan and Kannan to win Devootty's approval and bring some order to the clan. He begins matchmaking efforts under this pretext.

Meenakshi, Kannan's childhood friend and enemy's daughter, tries to prove her love. Kannan does not reciprocate immediately because Dasan would not accept the match.

KD & Co. hold hostage a visiting music troupe that comes to perform in the village. The troupe's lead singer Sangeetha is expelled from her home as a result. Kannan and Dassan offer her refuge at Devootty's insistence.

Shathru's scheme aims to pair Dasan with Sangeetha, further entangling the relationships. This plan clashes with the other romantic interests.

Kannan asks Dasan for permission to marry Meenakshi. Dasan mistakenly thinks Meenakshi is destined to be his wife.

Sangeetha's love for Kannan complicates the love triangle even as she remains committed. Her feelings deepen the conflict among the trio.

The truth is revealed: Dasan, who is in love with Meenakshi, forces her into marriage. Devootty tries to intervene but is beaten; Kannan fights back in defense of his friend. Dasan falls during the confrontation, and Kannan tells him he is ready to give up his love for their friendship. Moved by this, Dasan changes his mind and allows Kannan and Meenakshi to unite.

Sangeetha accepts to marry Dasan, resolving her part in the tangled relationships. Her decision helps settle the love dynamics and move toward a final union.
