Sent by the government, an Argentine elementary‑school teacher works in a remote Jujuy hamlet, where he touches the lives of villagers and befriends Verónico, a quiet boy whose mother died and whose father left to find work. The film adapts Fortunato Ramos’s nonfiction account of his teaching experiences in northwest Argentina.
