Ivy, a lonely orphan, wishes for a grandmother and a Christmas doll. After misreading a welcoming sign, she jumps from a bus, shouting “It’s me, Ivy!” and braves the cold while searching for a grandma. At last she encounters a child‑free woman who has longed for children and owns a doll named Holly. The tale is adapted from the book The Story of Holly and Ivy.
