A social comedy set against the collapse of the steel industry in southern Luxembourg, it has been likened to Ken Loach and called the Luxembourgian “Full Monty”. In Differdange, six men—Geronimo, Théid, Frunnes, Sonny Boy, Abbes and Petz—form the “Dole Club”, a pact forbidding work. They survive on petty theft and small scams, a plan that unravels.
