An unstable man initially admires his elderly neighbor, whose intense stare unnerves him, then becomes consumed by hatred. He meticulously plans and commits a murder one night. The following morning two police officers investigate a scream, question him, and examine his eyes, declaring him innocent. He invites them to linger, shares warped theories of crime, while his heart pounds louder, and the distorted camera angles reflect his mental turmoil.
