Karl Thomasson, an ex-Special Forces soldier and retired mercenary, is drawn back into action when his old army buddy Colonel Teague asks him to accept a covert assignment: go undercover at a military academy where Teague’s nephew, Ted Teague, is a cadet. Teague suspects a white supremacist neo-Nazi faction among the cadets and faculty, calling itself the Werewolf Unit, though officially the group passes as a secret training program. Karl agrees, taking on the role of a history teacher to uncover the truth and root out the looming threat.
From the start, danger follows Karl. One night he is ambushed by two suspicious students, possibly sent by Brack, but he fights them off and survives. On campus, he teams up with Devlin, a martial arts instructor who served with him in the Army, and together they begin to piece together the unit’s activities. As they dig deeper, they learn that Brack is the unit’s leader, and that Ted Teague has become entangled in its darker aims, casting a shadow over Teague’s intentions.
During the investigation, Karl grows closer to Dr. Jenny Chamberlain, a campus physician who believes the Werewolf Unit is just another elite circle and remains largely unaware of the clandestine assignments swirling beneath the surface. Their budding romance adds tension to the mission and gives Brack a new reason to keep a tighter lid on his operations. To silence Karl, Brack ultimately enlists the help of a renegade operative, Lim, whose black-market skills and loyalty pose a serious threat to Karl and his allies.
As the stakes rise, the Werewolf Unit is ordered to carry out what Teague believes is a routine training exercise. In truth, the mission is a terrorist action designed to destroy a power plant that fuels a portion of the town’s minority-controlled businesses and housing. Karl—aware that the operation is more than a test—tries to warn and appease Teague, insisting that the unit is not what he thinks it is, even as Brack’s scheme unfolds in secret. The plan progresses with disturbing efficiency, and Teague begins to doubt his long-held assumptions.
The operation reaches a pivotal moment when Teague loses one cadet to the chaos, a tragedy that casts a long shadow over the school and its leadership. With Lim leading the assault, the team evacuates as the bombs detonate, and Teague watches with heavy regret as the town’s fragile balance is shattered by the violence. The sequence of events tests loyalty, courage, and the moral lines drawn between duty and righteousness, leaving all involved to confront the consequences of hidden agendas and the cost of Veracity in a world where loyalty can be weaponized.
