Gwendolyn Creed, a devout woman, encounters the enigmatic artist B.A. Catch, who can summon ectoplasmic substance from his hands and steal souls. He sculpts faces from soul‑matter and opens portals to alternate realms where pain merges with pleasure. Victims are beaten, stabbed, even crucified; their bodies become diseased, their skin warped, seeking new hosts to survive. As the horror deepens, the story asks whether love can ultimately prevail.
