Madame Bertini, a newly widowed 70‑year‑old who has spent her life in sheltered squalor, decides to venture into the modern world. Determined to seek as much fun and new experiences as possible, she discovers a love for freedom, spends her life savings on enjoyment, much to the disapproval of the younger onlookers, defying expectations.
