Max, a solitary traveler, and a beautiful young woman, strangers who have never met, arrive together at a luxury Riviera hotel for solo vacations and are given adjoining suites. They leave their shoes at the door, just outside, for cleaning, and the shoes, mirroring their owners’ quiet yearning, magically fall in love, hinting at a whimsical bond.
