On a wedding day women are confined to the kitchen while men discuss politics and sports. A teenage boy observes the gender divide as the women talk about their condition. Co‑directed by Paule Baillargeon and Frédérique Collin, it marks the birth of Quebec women’s cinema. Funded by donations and a benefit concert, it uses improvisational workshops and blends black humour, horror and fantasy, sparking debate.
