In the end, the film reveals that Randy and Benson are more alike than they seem. This is symbolized by the gift of the toy crocodile to Tessa, the teacher’s daughter, reflecting his emotional growth and capacity for love and connection. The film ends on a hopeful note, suggesting that Randy is beginning to mend his life and relationships, including with his mother and possibly with Lisa, signaling a chance for redemption and a fresh start.
