The Misleading Lady

Bored with her empty socialite lifestyle, Helen Steele resolves to become an actress. She aims for Parker's play and learns he will be at a party hosted by her friend Alice Connell. To gain Parker's attention, she bets that she can make Jack Craigen fall in love with her within three days in exchange for an audition.

To secure the audition, Helen sets the condition and records Jack's proposed marriage on a phonograph. The plan hinges on proving his affection publicly within the three-day window. After recording, she hesitates, realizing she may have just set a trap.
